The snow chronicles VIII

Got up early, watched 2 episodes of season 3 of Treme, took a nap.

Sorry not to see the snow coming down all night (6 or 8"!) but walked in Tompkins Square Park. If you didn't look toward the 16-story Christadora & if you let your eyes glaze, it could be a hundred years ago: kids & dogs & brownstones.

The vet wouldn't give me Buster's steroid pills if I don't bring him in. Pissed: you want him to get sick unless I pay the ransom of a visit? Guess I need a new vet, especially as mine (Jeffrey Levine) has left that practice. They are always hustling you for more tests & services.

The Chabad boys stopped by as they do most Fridays. The first mitzvah Hashem gave Moses is in this week's Torah portion, they told me. I wrote down "Elinor" & "Illinois" to demonstrate that although they pronounce them the same, they're quite different. Poor babies, cold wet feet; I tried to neat's-foot oil their shoes, but they wouldn't let me & did it themselves.

Pilates with Anula then saw a man slip & fall stepping onto the curb at 6th & A. Both clogs(!) flew off.

That was my day. Is it any wonder I didn't throw anything out (it's 24 Days of Discard) or do any work (let's not talk about that)? Also, it's so cold in my office that I can't stay here long.
