East Village sights

So often, strolling around my nabe, I will suddenly see something I've never seen before or at least never noticed. This church is on 13th just west of B. It's hard to tell but on either side of the sign are tile crosses—the whole thing a little Mexican. Like the old shtiebls of the Lower East Side where the Orthodox once prayed, I imagine these storefront evangelical churches are losing ground to expensive condos & fancy bars.
