Poor old anon deserves credit for this most beautiful & poignant lyric.

Would anyone believe it if it had been written recently? It would be a song, for one thing, not a poem, & people would think it was too simple. It makes me think of a job opening I know of & that the last 3 people who held it, who all did a terrific job, probably wouldn't get hired if they were applying this time around...
